Planning for Student Success!

Early Release Days for Students are Back!

One of the most important strategies for helping all children achieve success is making sure the instruction they get in the classroom is effective. There is no greater "at school" factor in student achievement than a child's teacher and the day to day instruction happening in that teacher's classroom. At Park Avenue, we work as a team to study, discuss, and plan for effective instruction. We believe every child deserves a great teacher and we are committed to providing ALL students the opportunities, and access, they need to be successful academically. One way we do this is through regular teacher collaboration time through the practice of "early release" or student "minimum days".

We know that students perform better and learn more when teachers work and plan together. This is fully supported by research and is considered "Best Practice" in education across the globe. Below is a link to research reporting on "collaboration". Simply  highlight the entire link and then "right click" on it and select "go to..."
